Why Lite is metered and Standard is not. Beads are the unit you can actually picture, so on the small plan that is what we count. Above it, counting Beads would just make you hesitate before recording something — so Standard and Premium are unlimited, and storage is the only ceiling.

Freemium accounts get a full-sized Welcome Bead that does not count against the 50. Additional beneficiary seats are $4.99 a year on any paid plan.
Bead packs — Lite only
Top up when the year runs short.
Lite's yearly allowance suits about eight Beads a month. If you are recording more than that — which is a good problem — packs close the gap without pushing you onto a bigger plan.

Every add-on can be given as a gift — and so can a whole subscription. The recipient completes setup and owns the account outright; whoever paid never gets access to the vault.
MBHub
A family, on one bill, with nothing shared.
Two to ten people. Each keeps their own sealed vault, their own beneficiaries and their own Legacy arrangements. The person paying gets a single invoice and no visibility whatsoever into anyone's Beads — including their children's.

A death never raises the price
When a member dies their seat becomes a permanent Legacy seat. It is not billed, it does not count against the ten, and it still counts toward your discount band. The family's bill goes down, never up.
Mixed plans, floor of Standard
Members can be on Standard or Premium as suits each of them. Quotas are per person and are never pooled, so nobody's recording eats into anyone else's.
Monthly or quarterly
Never annual — families change. Quarterly billing earns the payer a free Chapters every quarter, and from the second year every member gets a free Chapters annually.
Discount bands read total seats, including Legacy seats; only active seats are billed. Your price is grandfathered — if we raise prices later, your hub keeps the rate it joined on.
